Clans are lasting groups of players: a name, a tag in who, ranks, and their own chat. Unlike a party, a clan stays together when you log off. Founding one. At level 10, clan found <name> = <tag> (say, Neon Wolves = NEON) costs 500 credits, and a builder approves it. If it's turned down you get the credits back; you hear either way, even if you were offline. clan cancel withdraws the request. Ranks. The leader and officers invite (clan invite <player>) and kick; the leader promotes officers, hands the clan over (clan leader <player>) and can disband it. If the leader leaves, an officer takes over. clan shows yours, csay <message> talks to it anywhere. Clan members can't attack each other (see help pvp). Rival clans. Three clans are run by NPCs, and their names are taken: Rustborn [RUST] in the Scrapyard Outskirts, the Encore [ENCR] in the Dead Line, and Mesa Free Company [MESA] in the Badlands. Each has a leader with contracts against their enemy. Take them, and the clan respects you (their leader trades with you); kill their people, and they turn hostile (their members attack you on sight). rivals shows where you stand with each. Examples: clan found Neon Wolves = NEON clan invite Nyx csay Anyone up for a run? clan leader Nyx rivals
In the game, help clans shows this too.
