wield
Hold a weapon ready. Usage: wield <weapon> wield <weapon> offhand Melee weapons hit harder the more Body you have; ranged ones the more Reflex. Wielding something new puts away what you had. One-handed weapons are quicker; two-handed ones are slower but hit much harder, and take both hands. With a one-handed weapon your off hand is free: wield a second one-handed weapon there (wield <weapon> offhand) and it swings too, on its own timer, for half damage and a little less accuracy. Or hold an off-hand item there, like a shield (wear it). Wielding a two-handed weapon puts away whatever's in your off hand. Examples: wield combat knife wield 9mm pistol wield switchblade offhand
In the game, help wield shows this too.
